What ChatHopper collects, stores, and shares so your room can work. Last updated September 15, 2026.

1. Who we are

ChatHopper (chathopper.app) is a paid room. We include the models. One ChatHopper login. You do not sign into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok to chat. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use https://chathopper.app.

2. Data we store

Depending on how you use the product, we may store:

  • Account email and a password hash (or equivalent auth data) for your ChatHopper login
  • Plan and billing status such as Hopper, Pro, Max, or Yearly, renewal state, and records from our payment processor
  • Chat history for conversations in your room so the shared thread can continue across sessions
  • Settings and preferences such as default models, room colors, and preferences you save
  • Usage records such as which models you called and approximate token counts, so we can enforce plan limits
  • Operational logs such as health checks, errors, and basic request metadata needed to run and secure the service
  • Marketing leads if you voluntarily give an email for a list or offer
  • Contact messages if you write to us through the Contact form

We do not sell your personal data. We do not sell third party Pro access or API keys.

3. Why we use it

We use this information to:

  • Create and secure your account
  • Run your mixed thread and keep chat history available to you
  • Call model APIs so ChatHopper can generate replies in your room
  • Bill Hopper Pass plans and handle cancellations
  • Fix bugs, prevent abuse, and improve reliability
  • Reply when you contact us

4. ChatHopper login

You sign in to ChatHopper with email and password. That login is for your ChatHopper room only. You do not sign into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Grok to chat. We do not ask you to hand over logins from other AI companies for model access.

5. Third party AI providers

Prompts and conversation context leave ChatHopper and go to model APIs so they can generate replies. Upstream providers process that content under their own privacy policies and terms. ChatHopper does not control whether a provider logs, retains, or trains on that data.

Payment processors and email or infrastructure vendors may process limited account or payment data as needed to operate billing and hosting. They are not authorized to sell your data for their own marketing.

6. Cookies and session

We use a session cookie (or similar) so you stay logged in to ChatHopper. We may use basic analytics or security tools in the future; if we do, this page will be updated.

7. Retention

We keep account data and chat history while your account is active. After account deletion we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep records for law, dispute, or billing.

8. Security

We use encryption for secrets at rest, access controls, and private per customer data where that path is used. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong unique password for ChatHopper.

9. Children

ChatHopper is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your choices

  • Update settings in the app
  • Cancel your Hopper Pass anytime in Settings; chat is blocked until you restore or start a new Pass
  • Use the Contact form to request access, correction, or deletion of your ChatHopper account data

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law. Contact us to exercise them. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request.

11. International users

We may process and store data in the United States or other countries where we or our vendors operate. If you use ChatHopper from elsewhere, you understand that information may be transferred to those locations.

12. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. For material changes we will try to give reasonable notice when we can.
